Campground Rules

**  Campground Safety Rules – Please Read  **   

These campground safety rules are designed for everyone's well-being and to maintain a positive atmosphere for all campers. Most rules are based on common sense, yet we feel it's important to document them. While we cannot monitor the campground 24/7, we trust that all guests will adhere to the established guidelines. If we receive a complaint regarding any rule violations or personally observe any infractions, we will address them accordingly.   

Drive slowly and carefully – Speed Limit 10 mph in the campground. Please be vigilant for children. Do not place rugs or mats on the grass.   

Dogs – We love dogs, but you must comply with our pet policies campground. Only 3 dogs are allowed per camping site. Dogs must be kept on a leash and under your control at all times, even at your site. Invisible fences are not permitted. No dogs are allowed in any buildings or the pool area. Please clean up after your pets and dispose of waste properly. Ensure your dog is not a nuisance to others (e.g., barking). Children should not walk your dog if they will not clean up afterward. Do not leave your pet outside unattended, and please do not leave them in your camper if they are likely to bark while you are away.   

Visitors – Anyone entering the campground without a reservation must stop at the office to register and pay the campground visitor fees upon arrival. If you are expecting guests, inform them in advance to ensure they are prepared upon arrival.   

Day visitors – Adults (18-64 years) $4.00 / Overnight $8.00   

Child (4-17 years) $3.00 / Overnight $6.00   

Seniors (65 years +) $2.00 / Overnight $4.00 / 3 years & under Free   

Fees cover all activities and amenities at the park. Parking is limited, so please let your visitors know they may need to park in the overflow parking area across from the pavilion and walk to your site. Most sites allow only one vehicle for safety reasons. We kindly ask visitors to leave their pets at home. All day visitors must vacate the premises by 10:00 pm. Anyone found on the property who is not registered will be considered trespassing and will be asked to leave immediately.   

Quiet Time – Please observe quiet hours from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. By 10:00 pm, all children should return to their sites, and all radios and TVs should be turned down or off. No cornhole playing during this time. Please respect your neighbors.   

Water Usage – No washing of campers, vehicles, etc. PLEASE do not allow water hoses to leak. If you notice a leak, please fix it promptly. Be attentive to your toilet and any potential water leaks in your camper to avoid depleting our water tanks overnight, as we operate on a well system.   

Septic System – Use chemicals in your holding tanks to prevent clogging and odor (available at the store). These non-toxic products help break down waste and maintain clear lines. Keep both gray and black sewer valves closed at all times except when dumping to give the chemicals time to work. The sewer system requires a large quantity of fluid to function properly. Please refrain from disposing of foreign objects in the septic system (e.g., flushable wipes, paper towels, cleaning rags, feminine products). Use only septic-safe toilet paper. A sewer seal is necessary to prevent odors (available in the store).   

Campfires – Use fire rings only. Do not burn trash in your fire ring. Please extinguish any fire before leaving your campsite. Do not relocate the fire ring.   

Golf carts are for Seasonal Camping Use Only, with special exceptions for individuals with disabilities.   

Garbage – Do not leave trash or food outside at your campsite. Help us maintain a litter-free campground at all times. Do not discard cigarette butts on the ground. Place garbage in the dumpster as needed. No electronic equipment, furniture, etc., is permitted in the dumpster—only regular household trash.   

Firewood – Cutting trees is not allowed. You may collect dead branches from the ground. Please do not nail into or otherwise damage trees or shrubs. Firewood can be purchased at the camp office/store.   

Children – Parents, you are responsible for your children at all times while at the campground. Please supervise them closely.   

Wi-Fi – This is offered as a free amenity. No password is required—simply click on the strongest hotspot nearby.   

Alcoholic Beverages – Keep alcohol at your site and consume responsibly. Loud or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. You may be asked to leave without a refund. You must be 21 years or older to consume alcohol on our property.   

Motorized Toys – No motorized recreational vehicles (e.g., 4-wheelers, trikes, scooters) are allowed within the campground. These must remain on trailers.   

Bicycles – PA State law requires that all children under 12 years of age wear helmets. Riding after dark is not permitted. Discuss bike riding in the campground with your children, reminding them to watch for vehicles and obey the speed limit. Battery-operated riding toys are allowed, but parents must be present at all times.   

Pool – Hours are 12:00 noon – 8:00 pm (exceptions may occur). There is no lifeguard on duty, so swim at your own risk. Pool rules are posted in the area—please adhere to them. Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied in the pool area by a parent or guardian (18 years or older).   

Creek – Water activities in the creek are at your own risk.   

Firearms – Not permitted on the premises except during regular hunting season.   

Fireworks – Not permitted.   

CAMPSITES – Check-In: Between 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Check-Out: 1:00 pm. Early check-ins or late departures may incur a charge of $2.00 per hour, depending on pending reservations.   

CABINS – Check-In: Between 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Check-Out: 11:00 am. Early check-ins or late departures may incur a charge of $5.00 per hour, depending on pending reservations. No refunds will be issued for early departure for any reason.   

Release of Liability:  

This campground is privately owned. All visitors accept camping privileges with the understanding that they release, hold harmless, and indemnify Whispering Winds Campground, its owners, and employees from any and all liability for loss or damage to property and/or injury to themselves or any family members or registered guests arising from the use of this camping facility. Whispering Winds Campground is not responsible for electrical outages, storm damages, flooding, falling trees, or incidents involving wildlife. You will be held accountable for any damage to campground property resulting from your actions or neglect.   

Disregarding campground rules, causing disturbances among other campers, or engaging in improper conduct as deemed by management will result in expulsion without notice or refund.
